Statement regarding eliminations

At the Dressage Grand Prix, held on 11 August as part of the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026, during the post-test tack inspection, the FEI Stewards identified a matter requiring further review by the Ground Jury.
Following review, Rotem Jale Ibrahimzade (TUR) was eliminated in accordance with the FEI Dressage Rules, Article 424.5.6.2, which requires elimination where fresh blood is identified in the horse’s mouth, the area of the mouth, or the area of the spurs during the post-test check.
Elimination under this rule does not imply there was any wrongdoing on the part of the athlete but the rules are in place to protect the welfare of all competing horses. The FEI Rules provide a clear framework to safeguard horse welfare, protect the integrity of competition, and ensure a fair environment for all athletes.
