At the FEI Jumping World Championship Aachen 2026, during the Team and Individual Qualifier held on 19 August, András Jun. Kövy (HUN) riding Egano Van ’t Wingerdhof Z, felt an irregularity in the horse’s movement between fences 10 and 11. The Athlete immediately stopped and dismounted.

Egano was examined by a FEI veterinarian on the field of play. He was able to walk into the horse ambulance and was transported to the veterinary clinic for further examination.

He has been diagnosed with a soft-tissue injury, is being monitored and remains under the care of the Hungarian veterinary team.
