At the Dressage Grand Prix, held on 12 August as part of the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026, Suphakamol Vuntanadit (THA) riding Dreamboat BCN was eliminated from the competition for lameness, in accordance with the FEI Dressage Rules, Article 424.5.1:
In a case of marked lameness, the Judge at C informs the Athlete that they are eliminated.
Elimination under this rule does not imply there was any wrongdoing on the part of the athlete but the rules are in place to protect the welfare of all competing horses. The FEI Rules provide a clear framework to safeguard horse welfare, protect the integrity of competition, and ensure a fair environment for all athletes.
